ABOUT THE TRAINING:
Preparation, planning and reaction are the three pillars of our Personal Field Security Training. We make it our mission to share these core concepts and their applications with you.
OTHER SOLUTIONS’ Personal Field Security Training (PFST), also referred to as Hazardous Environment Awareness Training (HEAT), has been specifically designed to increase preparedness through raising awareness and helping staff to identify, analyse and mitigate threats. Throughout this training, participants will attend theoretical sessions, learn about tools, practice new skills and experience real-life simulations exercises.
Personal Security and First Aid are a significant part of the duty of care from organisations to their employees, supports the mainstreaming of security culture across entire organisations. Trainings are vital to assure employees and organisations that field staff will be working in an environment with optimal preparation. By the end of the training, the participants will feel more able/comfortable to carry out their work in various environments. They will be better equipped to anticipate and react to threats.
In collaboration with Action Contre La Faim – Acción Contra el Hambre, this training takes place from the 25th to the 27th of June in Spain. It will be immersive over the course of 3 days and 2 nights, all included in full board. It includes at least 7 hours of Emergency First Aid training to obtain an official first aid certification after a final simulation exercise. It will also involve sessions in stress, weapons awareness, communication skills and more. Our inclusive approach provides a safe learning environment and the possibility to practice what is learned through real-life simulations and scenarios with experienced and dedicated trainers. After the training, participants will be awarded a recognised personal security certification and will be provided with a mini guide summarising learned skills and tools.
WHO IS THIS TRAINING FOR?
This training is suitable for anyone on a field mission and/or working in contact with field missions. It has been designed with the aid sector in mind, so any participant from the sector will learn invaluable and transferable personal security tools as well as security and first aid skills. We welcome participants with any experience or background, as we firmly believe the dialogue we foster between a diverse group of participants to be integral to the development and learning of all trainees. Our PFST participants not only learn to assess risks to their personal safety, but they also end the training with invaluable life-saving skills and the peace of mind of getting recognised certification.
